Joining us on the show were Spencer Weimer, Marketing Director for Angel Fire Resort, and their Publicist Krysty Ronchetti of SJ Communications. Angel Fire Resort in Northern New Mexico offers year-round outdoor adventure activities in a gorgeous mountain setting.

Spencer described all of the offerings of Angel Fire Resort including skiing, Nordic activities and snow tubing. In addition to their well know winter sports, the resort is also the #1 downhill mountain bike park in the southwest, has a private lake, an 18-hole golf course and a high elevation zip line.

Angel Fire differentiates themselves from nearby resorts based on unique ski-in, ski-out, night skiing and value price lift ticket attributes. To reach their target market with these messages, Angel Fire Resort uses print, TV and digital writer including bloggers. Family bloggers speak with a mom’s or dad’s perspective about their experience at the resort, a great way to connect with parents seeking a similar vacation.

Visitors to the resort come primarily from New Mexico as well as Texas and Oklahoma. Spencer indicated that Angel Fire is beginning to target potential guests in Southern Colorado with the value message.

Mountain Trails Galleries - Location is Key to Brand Success

Listen to our featured That Branding Guy radio show podcast: Mountain Trails Gallery

Hello, I’m Jim Glover, That Branding Guy, for Once a Day Marketing™. On our radio show That Branding Guy, we discussed branding and marketing with a Santa Fe gallery owner.

Joining us on the show was Kevin French – owner of Mountain Trails Gallery where his team is passionate about western art and connecting artists and their stories with collectors and their homes.

We discussed the importance of traffic flow in the gallery area and once again the old adage of location, location, location proves true. Mountain Trails can be found on Old Santa Fe Trail across from the Inn at Loretto and nearby Loretto Chapel. This is a very highly traveled area in the city and generating this foot-traffic awareness has been good for the gallery.

Kevin noted that this prestigious downtown location is important to leverage visitors already in town for other events such as Spanish Market and Indian Market. This is already an art-minded audience. The keys to Kevin’s success, however, are the quality of the western art exhibited, such as sculptures/monuments and paintings, and providing great customer experience.

Enjoy the show!

Branding Cheryl Alters Jamison's New Book: Texas Slow Cooker

Listen to our featured That Branding Guy radio show podcast: Heating Up Texas Slow Cooking

Hello, I’m Jim Glover, That Branding Guy, for Once a Day Marketing™. On our radio show That Branding Guy, we discussed branding and marketing with a noted cookbook author.

Joining us on the show was Cheryl Alters Jamison, a 4-time James Beard Award-winning cookbook author, food writer and Southwestern foods expert whose accomplishments have been profiled in the national media and has been featured on national television shows. Cheryl is the host of Heating It Up, a food talk radio show here on Talk KTRC 1260 in Santa Fe.

For her new book Texas Slow Cooker, Cheryl has developed recipes that include everything from entrees to desserts to rev up your weeknight meals. The idea for the book concept originated when Cheryl’s stepdaughter talked about how her slow cooker enabled her to serve a good meal to her family even with the busy schedules of three children.

Texas Slow Cooker aligns perfectly with Cheryl’s brand which is focused on creating fun and excitement with good food. Her goal is to provide recipes that add pizzazz to meals and encourage people to share the joy of dining with their families around the dinner table.

Cheryl draws inspiration for her cooking, writing and her radio show from travel to exotic locales such as Peru, Cuba, France and Italy. She also has a backyard chicken coop with egg laying hens whose antics are a favorite topic on Heating It Up!

When it comes to promoting the new book, publishers have high expectations in today’s environment. Cheryl is using Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to share information about her new releases. She is making numerous appearances on TV and radio shows, in-person appearances to sign books as well as teaching workshops and cooking classes. Cheryl also features Texas Slow Cooker on her Excited About Food website along with links to purchase that and any of her other 20 book.
