Hello, I’m Jim Glover, That Branding Guy, for Once a Day Marketing™. Today we are
discussing why collaborative partnerships are good for your brand.
The expansion of technology usage for all businesses is
resulting in two important changes that you should consider with respect to
your brand. The size of your potential
market continues to increase and, businesses are more transparent that ever
before.
In this environment, forming collaborative partnerships
with another provider of products or services can be a great way to expand the
reach of your brand. Identify other
businesses that may be a good fit. Focus
on potential partners that have experience in areas you don’t such as marketing
knowledge, physical locations, access to different markets or other
complementary skill sets.
Once you have identified someone you would like to
collaborate with, arrange a pilot project to determine if you are well suited
to working together and you are attaining the results you expect.
This approach has worked well for Apple teaming up with
Nike to offer Nike+ software on iPhones and iPods.
Consider the possibilities for your brand.
